Implementation of transcutaneous bilirubinometer in neonatal jaundice.

The advance of technology has improved humans’ well beings life quality. Industrial designers and scientists worked hand in hand, bringing academic research to everyday life. Designers realized the idea and concept of inventors, applying photonics engineering into medical detection.

Odiist employed the theory of biophotonic researcher, developed the first prototype of non-invasive jaundice assessment device. The device can fit the optical parameters gathered into physiological parameters according to diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The success of this device has been published on medical journal. We sincerely hope that this device can be developed further and be productized.

Non-invasive Jaundice assessment device were designed for clinics instead of medical centers. We miniaturize the device and giving it a smooth form to decrease the coldness of medical devices. By scanning the skin of newborn baby, the device helps diagnosing neonatal jaundice. Without blood sample, non-invasive jaundice assessment device can help detecting and observing treatment effects.
